She believes in Santa: do you?
This is in response to a previous blog post by a classmate. Some commericals are making it out that Santa is not real. I figured I would upload a video about someone who clearly believes in Santa.
this video is so funny

Good Luck, Chalkboard chat
To go along with my last post, I didn’t know I wanted to switch until probably two weeks ago. I like how are blog name is chalkboard chat but I will not be using such an item with a Journalism degree. Oh well. I hope teaching works out for you, I really do. I cannot hang. I do not like how the program is set up, but that is just my opinion. Good Luck!

from education to journalism..what a switch!!
So I definitely made up my mind about switching majors. Some of my family, however, does not agree with this decision. I keep telling them that it is my choice and I want to be happy. So Journalism it is. What do you think about that?

Twitequette
This video shows how to use Twitter. It has a very monotone voice. I thought it was interesting.

Twitter-Facebook
Twitter is much like Facebook. For example, in the third paragraph the author talks about how you do not have to make a phone call to see how a friend is doing. They just “Twitter” their status (which we find completely interesting) and that’s that. This is exactly like Facebook. I mean I guess I am not the biggest fan of Twitter. However, when reading this article, it sounds like it has a lot of things that have made this a better social network then Myspace or Facebook. Before this class, I would have never even considered signing up for Twitter, and I still do not want it, but I guess it is kind of cool that it is an immediate response kind of thing. We can have full conversations on Facebook, but it is not “right away.” I understand how you can “follow” people, but for some reason when I was making my first tweet, I was following Bob Vila and Spencer Pratt. I did not pick these guys to follow. I really do not care about I guess its The Hills that he is on, or whatever Bob Vila is building. I do care about my favorite hockey team, (Washington Capitals) though, so I am following them. I agree with page three of this article. Because Twitter is geared to twenty-somethings and teens there will be a competitor in the next few years, and I am sure everyone will have it. It will be something that involves everything with Twitter but with more. I mean with the way technology has advanced, I will not be surprised if it happens soon.

praxis teaching
I found this video when I still wanted to be a teacher. I have been having so many problems passing the praxis. I only miss it by one point. I think I am still going to take it just so it is under my belt.

Praxis issues
Is anyone else having trouble passing Praxis I? I got delayed a semester because I have yet to pass it=(. I do not know why I am having trouble. The worst part about it is that I am only missing it by one point on the reading and one point on the math. The writing a passed which I guess is good. Oh well. I guess they have to have the cut off somewhere.

Teaching-A passion
I have always wanted to teach. I think I was six when I realized it. I do not know what I find so interesting about it. I guess it’s the fact that I love kids. All my cousins are younger than me so in a way that helps the fact that I want to teach. I always try to help them whenever I get a chance or when they are in town, since they all live away. I want kids to be able to look up to me and know that I am there to help them whenever they need me. I want to be a role model and shape the minds of today’s youth. Teaching just might be a job that I will like because some people do not like their jobs.
